Lenovo power manager gauge not updating

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T500 with Windows 7 Enterprise (n).

Even though my laptop is docked (or plugged in), there is a battery meter to the left of the system tray: I'd like to turn that off if possible.

The most used version is 2.10.0007, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version.

DLL Application Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Application Timestamp: 4a5bc9e0 Fault Module Name: MFC80U.

:) Good question -- I'm wondering if there is a specific setting in the Power Manager that would enable one to disable the annoying green brightness meter which pops up everytime the screen brightness auto-resets under battery usage as a way of conserving power.

The Think Vantage Power Manager Utility notifies you when the current notebook power settings do not match the settings that Lenovo recommends.

Also, Windows 7 has a more simple way to add power icon to taskbar.

The battery indicator in the system tray is not updating at all to anything.
